“Ohhh Pushkin!”
June 6 marks the 220th anniversary of the birth of the famous Russian poet A.S. Pushkin. On the eve of the anniversary in the library with the support of the trade union committee of the Academy staff, the literary festival “Ohhh Pushkin!” was held. Romances, poems, fairy tales, waltzing couples have created a festive atmosphere of the 19th century.
On that day, Pushkin’s verses in various languages performed by students and teachers sounded on the porch of the library. The participants of the event were able to express themselves in various creative venues: participating in the literary quiz ” Ages Passing, but Pushkin Remaining …”, performing a fairy tale of A.S. Pushkin “Journey to the country Lukomorye”, choosing the famous Pushkin’s fairy tale. Fans of poetry took part in the marathon “Read a line from Pushkin”.
In the creative workshop everyone could try to reproduce Pushkin’s drawings made in the margins of his works with the help of a pen and ink or draw illustrations to his fairy tales. A book exhibition devoted to the poet’s works and an exhibition of children’s drawings based on the fairy tales of A.S. Pushkin were organized. Pushkin’s tea patry allowed guests to share their impressions and views.
