BELAGRO-2020 – unites farmers for the 30rd time
For most farmers and entrepreneurs whose work is related to agriculture, the main event in mid-autumn was the Belarusian agro-industrial week. A special exhibition of achievements of the agro-industrial complex is organized annually by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus. As part of the Belarusian agro-industrial week, from September 29 to October 4, 2020, international specialized exhibitions “BELAGRO-2020”, “Belferma”, “BELPRODUKT”, “PRODMASH. COLD. PACK”. It became possible to get acquainted with the best trends in the development of crop production, livestock and poultry, modern technologies for processing, packaging and storage of products, as well as a variety of agricultural machinery at the new site in Minsk: 20/2 Pobediteley Ave., Football arena.
This agricultural forum has traditionally brought together not only Belarusian farmers and employees of the food and processing industries, but also their foreign colleagues and partners. More than 360 companies took part in the exhibition. Agricultural products, equipment and machinery from 13 countries were presented at the exhibition: Belarus, China, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Sweden, and Austria.
Collective expositions were presented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Industry, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the concern “Belgospishcheprom”, Belkoopsoyuz.
Separate exhibition blocks were presented to enterprises from Hungary and Russian regions: Bryansk, Rostov, Volgograd, Saratov and Voronezh regions.
Official delegations and business missions from different countries visited the exhibition.
Equipment for fertilization and plant protection, grain and forage harvesting, machines for land reclamation, cultivation and harvesting of potatoes, sugar beet and other vegetables were widely presented. More than 200 samples of modern equipment used in agriculture were demonstrated at the open area of the exhibition. Agricultural products, machinery, and equipment were demonstrated in the technological chain with modern energy-saving technologies in all industries related to both production and processing, transportation, storage, and sales.
The exhibition “Belferma” demonstrated the latest achievements in the field of animal husbandry. Feeders for animals and equipment for their maintenance, cage equipment and incubators, automated installations for dairy farms. At the exhibition, you can also get acquainted with the automated herd management system, milking machines of various modifications, and milk-cooling systems, both stationary and mobile for working on pastures. Visitors and participants of the exhibition were able to get acquainted with new feed and feed additives, veterinary drugs and medicines, new technologies in bioenergy, including power equipment and its software.
Every year, a visit to the “Fishing village” organized by the state enterprise “Belvodkhoz”aroused great interest among both specialists and young visitors of the exhibition.
The largest Belarusian producers presented a wide range of food products: sausage products, semi-finished meat products, poultry, dairy products, canned food, groceries, baby and diet food, bakery products and much more. Food industry enterprises pleased visitors with tastings of their products.
Every year Belagro becomes one of the main platforms for business negotiations. A wide range of issues related to ensuring the competitiveness of agricultural products, the use of land resources in terms of environmental and economic efficiency, prospects for cooperation between Belarus and countries of the near and far abroad in the production of innovative technologies in the field of agriculture, as well as other topical issues will be discussed during thematic conferences and seminars.
During the exhibition, the national tasting competition “Champion of taste”, “Competition for the best breeding cow”, competition “Best Plowman”, exhibition of farm animals, demonstrations of equipment and other events were held. For the first time there was held a competition “The best breeding horse”. There was held a conference “Innovative technologies in agricultural sector”, the fair of innovative developments “Agribusiness-2020: technologies and equipment”, seminar with international participation “Export sales of Belarusian products: where are our reserves?”, forum “Investment, innovation and export potential of the Republic of Belarus”.
Higher agricultural educational institutions also took part in the exhibition. Our Academy is traditionally an active participant of the agricultural forum every year. At the exposition of the Academy, the latest achievements in scientific, educational and practical activities were presented: author’s certificates (patents) for inventions, veterinary drugs developed by scientists of the Academy (with technical documentation), recommendations, scientific monographs, textbooks, reference books, educational, practical, teaching AIDS. The exhibition highlights in detail the work of the research Institute of Applied Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology, the Veterinary Association “Agricultural education, science and production”. Visitors of the Academy’s exposition were particularly interested in the latest publications of employees on scientific support of agricultural production.
Pavlova Tatyana Vladimirovna, candidate of biological Sciences, associate Professor, acting head of the Department of Genetics and Breeding of Farm Animals named after O. A. Ivanova, as well as Moiseev Konstantin Aleksandrovich, Master of Agricultural Sciences, Director Of the Agricultural College of EE VSAVM, were part of the Evaluation Commission of the competition for the best breeding cow.
For active participation in the Belarusian agro-industrial week, high level of organization and holding of the exhibition, the Academy was awarded the diploma of MinskExpo CJSC and the First degree Diploma of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus.
