WINTER FISHING COMPETITIONS
On January 31, the Trade Union Committee of the Academy Employees together with the fishing accessories store “Cool Place” held competitions in “Catching fish on the ice”. Sixteen participants-representatives of various structural divisions of the Academy – took part in the winter fishing competition, which was dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science, in the tourist and recreation complex on Lake Maloe Losvido.
After the announcement of the rules of fishing, mandatory safety instructions and rules of conduct on the ice, the fishermen began to search for “fishing happiness”. Fishermen began to actively search for fishing spots, but as they say, “it was biting yesterday and tomorrow”, so a very interesting fight for prizes unfolded. Everyone tried to catch as many fish as possible-feeding the holes and resorting to the most sophisticated and interesting ways of fishing: someone was looking for “fish places”, someone was fishing at one place, using various methods of fishing and tackle.
The fight for prizes was very intense for 5 hours, and when weighing the “trophies” every gram was taken into account, because it could be decisive.
According to Vladimir Avdachenok, the chairman of the Trade Union Committee of Employees the event caused a lively response among the employees. In its work, the Trade Union Committee strives to initiate and support any initiatives aimed at forming a healthy lifestyle and leisure, team spirit among employees.
The catch was evaluated by a group of judges, headed by the USSR Silver Medalist in float fishing, Valentin Plavinsky.
According to the results of the competition, the winners were recognized as follows:
– in the category “The biggest catch”– the I place – Sergey Sergeev (construction group), the II place – Maxim Tinsel (Department of Cultural and Leisure work), III place –Vasily Gulidov (Household division );
– in the category “The biggest fish” – Tinsel Maxim (Department of Cultural and Leisure Work);
– in the category “High-speed driller” – Victor Pashuto (Department of Diseases of Small Animals and Birds).
At the end of the competition, the winners were awarded Diplomas and gifts from the Trade Union Committee of the Academy Employees and the “Cool Place” store.
At the end of the competition and the awarding of prizes, the participants were able to taste aromatic porridge and shashlyk.
The main goal of the competition is to promote such an interesting and active type of recreation as winter fishing, promote active recreation and a healthy lifestyle, meet and exchange experiences among fishing enthusiasts, and make friends with the participants of the competition.
The participants of the competition and the jury decided that such competitions should be held annually and made traditional.
A bit tired, but cheerful and happy participants of the competition returned home!
