“DETECTIVE AGENCY OF THE MINISTRY OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS”
In order to prevent fires and deaths from them from January 18 to February 19 in all districts of the Vitebsk region, the Republican action “Safety – in every home!”is being held. Over the past 2020, 873 fires occurred in the Vitebsk region, which killed 106 people. In Vitebsk, 16 people were killed in 159 fires. The main objective of the campaign is to attract the attention of citizens to the problem of fires and the death of people from them, as well as to conduct mass work among the population on the prevention of emergency situations.
As part of this campaign, on February 5, 2021, the Department of Educational Work with Young people of the EEVSAVM organized a meeting of students with the employees of the Vitebsk City Department for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus. This meeting was held in an unusual format.
Senior inspector of the sector of propaganda and public relations Anna Yuryevna Basalay and specialist of the “Belarusian Voluntary Fire Society” Alesya Valeryevna Rusina offered the youth not just a conversation about safety, but an interactive game “Detective Agency”.
To determine the strongest detective agency, the rescuers offered to pass a series of tests: “Putting forward versions”, “Sounds”, “Substances on fire”, “Causes of fire”, “Enter the image”. The participants of the action were able to stay in the role of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and conduct an investigation of the fire, remembered the rules for using primary fire extinguishing equipment, as well as algorithms for actions in case of various emergencies.
The game was held in the form of a competition between the teams of the dormitories. Participants enthusiastically performed a number of intellectual and logical tasks. As a result, the first place was taken by the team of students of the hostel No. 4.
