SUMMARY OF STUDIES AND ROUND TABLE OF CHIEF VETERINARIANS OF DISTRICTS AND CITIES
On December 15, 2023, the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining completed the training of chief veterinary doctors of districts and cities of the Republic of Belarus on the problem of «Organization of veterinary activities in the context of intensive technologies of livestock production».
The training was attended by 107 chief veterinarians of districts and cities, 5 heads of veterinary departments of the Committees on Agriculture and Food of the regions.
Lectures were given by professors and associate professors of the Academy, representatives of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus – Director of the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision Smilgin I. reported on the tasks of the state veterinary service of the republic at the present stage, the report on the state and prospects of laboratory diagnostics in veterinary medicine in the Republic of Belarus was made by the director of «Belgosvetcenter» – Pivovarchik Yu.
Guest practical conferences of the trainees were held at the enterprise for the production of veterinary preparations «Belkarolin» on the problem of «Production of medicines», also the trainees visited the research institute of applied veterinary medicine and biotechnology, where they were acquainted with the functions performed by the department of scientific research expertise and types of laboratory and diagnostic works, such as: analysis of morphological and biochemical composition of blood on more than 40 indicators with assessment of protein, hydrocarbon, fat, vitamin and mineral exchanges to assess the functional state of the internal organs; quality analysis of feed for more than 35 indicators, including macro and trace elements, vitamins, amino acids; chemical toxicological studies of feed and feed additives: assessment of total toxicity, mycotoxins, toxic minerals organic acids, nitrates and nitrites, peroxide and acid number; development of a complex of treatment and preventive measures in diseases of the digestive, reproductive and other systems of the body; quality and safety evaluation of veterinary pharmacological products. They were familiarized with the functions of the scientific advisory department, which coordinates the work of the Institute, organizes studies conducted on a contractual basis with legal and natural persons, organizes training and retraining of laboratory specialists.
After summarizing the results of the training and successfully passing the final certification, the participants were awarded certificates of advanced training of the state standard.
