On registration of temporarily staying foreigners
in electronic form
Since January 2, 2019 on the single portal of electronic services (portal.gov.by), the administrative procedure for registering foreign citizens and stateless persons temporarily staying in the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as foreigners) is carried out in electronic form.
Electronic registration of foreigners is free of charge.
This procedure is available to foreigners who entered the Republic of Belarus at checkpoints across the State border of the Republic of Belarus. Foreigners who arrived in the Republic of Belarus from the territory of the Russian Federation must apply personally to the citizenship and migration unit of the territorial agencies of internal affairs at the place of their stay in Belarus for registration.
To register in electronic form, a foreigner can create a personal account on a single portal of electronic services (рortal.gov.by) on a computer, mobile phone or other device with Internet access, using his / her email address. “Available services” in the category “Citizenship and Migration” order the corresponding service (220.127.116.11), fill out an application and submit it in an electronic form. The result of the administrative procedure will be a message on the registration of a foreign citizen at the specified address of stay in the Republic of Belarus.
A foreigner can also register on a single portal of electronic services by his representative (another person) from his personal account by filling out an application in electronic form with the data of the foreigner.
In case of a personal appeal of temporarily staying foreigners to the departments of citizenship and migration of the internal affairs agencies, registration is carried out in the previously established procedure
To extend the registration period, a foreigner must personally apply to the citizenship and migration department of the internal affairs agencies at the place of his stay in Belarus.
You should bear in mind the following charges that might be needed:
- Tuition fees ( at the preparatory department or main faculties)
- Obligatory medical insurance ( per year) – 170 €;
- Obligatory medical examination – 75 $;
- Temporary residence registration by the Internal Affairs Bodies – 50 $;
- Hostel accommodation (2-3 persons share a room) 30 $ per month;
- The exit visa for home vocation – 50$
- Minimal set of food products for a week – 40 $
- Breakfast and lunch at the students’ canteen cost – 5$
The average summer temperature in Belarus – +18 0 – + 25 0 C; autumn- winter – +10 0 C- – 250 then additional expenses for warm clothing and foot-wear might follow.
